Stephen Taylor - a blog about Canadian politics: Teledgi gaffe

  • Natedawg · 1 year ago
Ha! He didn't even correct himself!

I can't believe how much the media has focused on silly gaffes and tongue slips during this election campaign.

Now that's funny! Poor old guy didn't even realize what he said!

    Hilarious!!!

Even the usually pro-Liberal Record mentions it this morning:

"At one point during the televised debate, Telegdi misspoke when said he would support electing a Conservative government. During the second hour, he clarified his position and said "to his horror" he was told by one of his workers about his comment."

and do you know what the stupid electors of Waterloo will elect him again
  • markalanwhittle · 1 year ago
One can only assume the Liberals know the jig is up. Perhaps Telegdi was being truthful, the more the electorate see the Liberals and their deeply flawed election platform the faster they run to the Conservatives to protect their interests. Does this guy not bother to rehearse his speeches before blurting them out? Obviously not. The Conservatives are the only party that is on the side of the little guy. Thank goodness for that.

I missed this. I was too busy watching CBC, where every night's "Reality Check" concludes that the Conservatives are lying about everything they say.

Yep, Harper is in their noggins, haunting their dreams...

It's called a Freudian slip. Has anyone seen the new Liberal spot show-casing Dion's "strong leadership" at the 2005 UN Kyoto talks? One could easily mistake the ad for a spoof done by his opponents making fun of him, that's how ridiculous it is. Sometimes catch myslef wondering if Dion is a Tory plant, and that his #1 job is, indeed, to elect Stephen Harper as PM.
  • bert · 1 year ago
Yes,i nearly fell off the couch when Dion took off his glasses and told Russia to start talking to the other countries. Then when his gavel came down i was so relieved and happy that they could all go home after accomlishing?????NOTHING

Geez, don't knock the old gent, he got something right. The Liberals may not realize or intend it but that's exactly what they're doing in spades. He's probably having bad nightmares about now too which would interfere with his thought process. he's got Conservatives on the brain.

Telegdi has posted a YouTube response - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8NuCLD8iGg0

    "It's called a Freudian slip"

Um, no. A Freudian slip is sexual in nature...so this one doesn't fit the category.
